Hello all:
I am 29 today…and I’m not very thrilled/happy about this…not sure why….
I just have a feeling that its not going to be a great day…prayers accepted and solicited.
I guess I’ll take birthday greetings, too.

The older we get, the less “great” birthday’s get. I just turned 29 in March and it feels like yesterday I was 15. You and I can smell 30 now. Older folks laugh at us thinking we are so young!

30 was no big deal for me. Life was good. I had (still have) and amazing wife that loves me, baby #2 was just born and I was a part of a thriving new church that was going to change the world!
Since then, I’m now 40 and my oldest is a teenager and their sinful nature (learned from Daddy
) is being revealed, the church fell on it’s face from it’s own sin (though it has rebounded nicely), my body has begun to grow and sag and mortality seems more real. I was never anxious about turning 40, but it has been real hard.
This too will pass and I’m told 50 is much easier.
Happy birthday, and on that encouraging note, try not to let it get to you.
