Hello all:
Just a note -and a plea for assistance from anyone who knows what the deal is- wordpress keeps putting comments into moderation from people that I have already approved commnents for. Sometimes it allows people’s comments to go straight out on the page, and sometimes it puts them in the moderation box. I am trying to figure out the problem and will fix it as so0n as I can. In the meantime, please be patient if it gets marked for moderation - I won’t edit it, and I won’t deny its approval unless the post is obscene or spam.

Bro. Clarke,
I think the problem may lie with the people leaving comments from different computers. I have no real idea how the moderation approval queue works, but I think it has to do with cookies on the machine a person is using. For instance, my own comments on my own blog are sometimes moderated if I happen to use a different computer to post. Even if the name and email address are the same, WP detects a strange computer, and goes the safe route by putting it in moderation. The only sure-fire way I have found of preventing valid comments from going to moderation is to require registration with the site. It’s not a huge incovenience, so you may ask your readers to register if you’d like to skip moderation.
I hope that helps,
Greg
