Say what you are going to say, say it, then tell them what you just said.
:)
Sorry if I'm a little late.

Best of luck to you. Preaching is not an easy thing especially when you have to do it every week.

I am certainly not an expert on preaching. I have taken classes on preaching and have been preaching for awhile now. The thing that I have found is that it is hard to try and fit your preaching into a mold or a pattern that someone else gives you. I have my own routine and pattern that works for me that might not work for someone else. The key to preaching for you, this week, I would say, is, first, not to overthink things. The tendency will be to overthink everything you do and prepare leading up to your sermon. But just relax and go up there with the confidence that you know your material and you will do fine. Also, second, find your own voice. Yes, it's ok to try and imitate the great preachers you love and respect but don't copy. Make sure you stay true to yourself and that the voice you use is your own.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

Hi Clarke,

Congratulations! I'm sure you'll do great. Not to overgeneralize, but the following has always worked for me.

Main Point

Subpoint One

Subpoint Two

Subpoint Three

Conclusion

Basically, have an overarching theme for the entire sermon and tie your subpoints into that theme.

Take care,
Adam
