I know what you mean when you talk about disconnection, especially from fellowship. I certainly understand how real life can get in the way of things like blogging! My understanding is that Sunday evening services were originally an attempt to provide an alternate Sunday worship service to accomodate farmers who had early morning duties with livestock etc. Somehow over the years it became another mandatory "meeting of the body" in some people's minds. The whole idea of "meetings of the body" deserves a blog post sometime... Hi Clarke,

Good to hear from you. I certainly understand how real life can get in the way of things like blogging!

My understanding is that Sunday evening services were originally an attempt to provide an alternate Sunday worship service to accomodate farmers who had early morning duties with livestock etc. Somehow over the years it became another mandatory “meeting of the body” in some people’s minds. The whole idea of “meetings of the body” deserves a blog post sometime…
