Why I Read: I have lately become interested in the Restoration Movement as a whole, not just Independent Christian Churches. As a result, I started looking for Restoration websites and this was the first one I came across. I’ve been very impressed with the informational aspect of your website as well as the fair-handed way you treat those in the ICC and DoC churches.

Never been on a blog or even know how to post but here goes. I live in South Alabama and graduated from the old Alabama Christ School of Religion, now Southern Christian University. Could not get a preaching position even thought I had a masters degree for I was single and looked 16. Another minister suggested I teach school and work with small congregations. I did. I am a high school counselor and preach at small congregations. I am 59 and will soon retire from education. I am praying for guidance after retirement. I am not typical Church of Christ, but these South Alabama congregations need a minister, and I consciousenlly work with them.

Why I read: This is my first time on this blog and I found it when entering a Google Search for the “Effective Leadership” document associated with the ICOC’s Unity Proposal. We’ve been asked to consider it and pray about it (I am a member in NYC). But I cannot find the associated articles such as the one I just mentioned.
Location: New York, NY
Anything else: I’ve been a disciple for almost 5 years and I know almost nothing about the overall Restoration Movement outside of the ICOC. It might be good for me to learn some more about it.

I found you through a link on someone’s site. I appreciate your thoughtful, well balanced views on the RM, coC, and other topics.
May I suggest to you and your readers an article by Edward Fudge? It is wonderful and inspiring.
