Certainly a Zwingli BBQ Apron is a must have item! I did not however see the Stone - Campbell salt and pepper shakers anywhere; perhaps someone split the set.
Clarke, thanks for the humor.
Sincerely,
Phil

Those are OK, but I’d have to say I like my “Athanasius: Orthodox Gangsta” shirt a lot better. Be sure to look under the “Homeboys” category, too. There’s nothing like enjoying humor that only students of theology will generally get.

Phil: are you implying that Zwingli was a cannibal and would have barbecued those Anabaptists he had killed? All kinds of really, really crude “Barbecued Anabaptist” jokes just entered my head. Eesh!

Mark: No Soup For You! Perhaps they should have the “Zwingli Turn Coat”, that would be appropriate.
Unfortunately, I do not have a great deal of respect for Mr. Zwingli.
After spending time in an Anabaptist community, I have a great deal of respect for the Amish and Mennonites. The Old Rule Mennonites and conservative Amish (yes, there are “liberal” Amish - Beachy Amish) share a similar theology with conservative Restoration branches. Again, the same group share similar salvation doctrine.
I hope all is well Mark!

Church History, and really, religious history, is full of people that did both great things and not such great things as well.
I have a lot of respect for what Zwingli did as a theologian….but his treatment of those who disagreed with him was horrible. He was a product of his times.

Ack!!! Zwingli barbecues would certainly feature meat that isn’t really meat, and vegetables that aren’t really vegetables. If nothing else is available I may be able to stomach the Calvin Condiments, but no Zwingli for me, please!

I like it but would prefer a “Alexander Campbell is my homeboy” T-shirt

JP:
I might work on that idea. I like that.

I am new at blogging. I am trying to get my blog on the Church of Christ website but cannot figure out how.
Could you give me some suggestions?

Don:
Which Church of Christ website are you refering to?
I checked your blog URL and your blog couldn’t be found. Might want to fix that first.
